Who: 6th - 9th Grade Students
When: August 12 & 16, 2021
Time: 10 am - 12:30 pm
Where: Ruston Artisans, 203 W Alabama Ave, Ruston LA
Objective: At the end of the 2-day session, participants will learn how to:
- Properly expose a photo
- Compose a photo
- Create proper balance in a photo
- Ensure photo clarity
- Evaluate a photo
Cost: $100 (includes instruction, printing and matting)
Day one will include classroom & practical experience. Photos taken by students between classes will be reviewed with the instructor at the second class.
Instructor Bette Kauffman is an artist, Professor Emerita of Communication, & a lifelong photographer. Bette has taught college photography, videography & visual communication for 40 years. She has won many awards, most recently "Best Photograph" in a national multi-media juried show in Dallas, TX
Students must bring their own camera or a cell phone that can take photos.
Participants will have their best photo matted by the instructor & their work will be displayed in the gallery.
