Ruston Artisans and Louisiana Tech Fashion Merchandising and Event Planning will hold it's 3rd Annual Fashion Karaoke Competition on Thursday, October 14, 2021 from 6:00-9:00 pm.
What is Fashion Karaoke? Fashion Karaoke provide you with an opportunity to showcase your vocal talent while rock'n the runway in cool fashions. We are currently accepting auditions and we will select the ten best entries for the show. The first prize winner will receive $500. There will be a smaller prize for second and third place.
This year we are switching things up a bit. Contestants will choose to sing an song from their era choice. Each selected singer will then be styled in that era by a Louisiana Tech University Fashion Event and Planning student with clothing from Louisiana Tech fashions and/or local fashion boutiques.
Audition and Selection Rules:
1. Submit the the application by COB Monday, September 27, 2021. You can use the online application at https://form.jotform.com/…/fashion-karaoke-singercontestant… or submit the required information to RustonArtisans@gmail.com. The upload of your singing samples on the online form may not work for MP4. If you are unable to submit it, please send to our email address.
Include the following in the application:
A. Contestant and Guardian Information;
B. A photo;
C. A bio and resume that includes your full name, address, email, and phone number; and,
D. Two (2) examples of you singing.
2. Pay your $20 application fee by September 27, 2021. You may pay with cash or credit card at Ruston Artisans, 203 W. Alabama Ave, Ruston, LA or online at http://bit.ly/FashionKaraokeSingerAuditionEntry
Application fees will not be refunded.
3. If you are not 18, you must have written parental or guardian permission. The top ten will be selected on September 27, 2021 and be notified.
4. If selected, you will need to:
Sign an agreement with Ruston Artisans stating that you will be a participant and comply with requirements by COB September 29, 2021.
Pay the $30 selected entry fee by COB September 29, 2021. You may pay with cash or credit card at Ruston Artisans, 203 W Alabama Ave, Ruston, LA or online at https://bit.ly/2021KaraokeEntranceFee. Entry fees will not be refunded.
Connect with your personal designer and the DJ on a date tbd. Work with your designer to have an outfit selected and a song selected by October 8, 2021.
Select three (3) event song choices and submit by October 3, 2021.
Attend a dress rehearsal if scheduled.
Attend the Fashion Karaoke Competition on Thursday, October 14, 2021. Contestants must arrive by 4 pm and stay until the event concludes.
Participate in any marketing and PR activities.
